Ten years ago, John Sinkus and Carl Thomas started BTE Consulting with a vision of bridging the gap between business and IT. Former CIOs, they understand the challenges executives face as they align technology with business goals in order to rationalize initiatives.
They also are IT experts and architecture “pioneers,” having developed several industry-leading models and tools. Their collective experience forms the basis of BTE’s enterprise architecture framework, which in turn spurs clients to achieve greater results.

Carl Thomas, Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Early in his career, Carl Thomas recognized the importance of using technology to support the business and has made it his life’s work to provide companies with the right information to make the best decisions for their business.
Mr. Thomas’ ability to communicate in clear and concise terms makes it easy to forget he’s a seasoned IT expert with nearly 30 years of experience. In his role as COO, he is responsible for client acquisition and project delivery.
Mr. Thomas has overseen small to large-scale, global IT projects with responsibility for budgets ranging from $4 million to $100 million.
